Sarah Robson, Founder and Managing Director

With nearly 20 years' experience across high-value fundraising and organisational leadership, Sarah has advised organisations ranging from national charities and international NGOs to social justice, environmental and policy organisations. Her work focuses on the systems, behaviours and leadership conditions that underpin sustainable high-value income performance.

Prior to founding Robson & Mitchell in 2020, Sarah held senior fundraising leadership roles including Director of Fundraising at The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation, where she led an international fundraising team and oversaw a multi-million-pound income portfolio. Earlier roles included senior positions at The Prince's Trust and Save the Children.

Sarah has worked with organisations including Shelter, Disasters Emergency Committee, Plan UK, National Emergencies Trust, Sailors' Society, The Africa Centre, Transform Drug Policy Foundation and Alde & Ore Estuary Trust.

Her approach combines strategic fundraising expertise with operational and leadership insight, and has shaped services with experts in HR and coaching to ensure client issues are tackled holistically. She is known for helping organisations move beyond tactical fundraising activity to build clearer propositions, stronger pipeline discipline, better stewardship systems and more resilient income models.

Sarah believes that most high-value income challenges are not simply fundraising problems, they are leadership, operational, cultural and behavioural issues that require organisation-wide alignment to solve. Her work is grounded in calm, commercially realistic advice, with a focus on clarity, accountability and long-term sustainability.
